Tickets: $20 A one night only benefit performance of the Tony nominated hit musical, [title of show]. 100% of the proceeds will go to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS a nonprofit fundraising and grant-making organization. BC/EFA grants more than 450 AIDS and family service organizations and social service programs at The Actors Fund, including the HIV/AIDS Initiative, the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative, the Al Hirschfeld Free Health Clinic, The Dancers' Resource and the Stage Managers' Project [title of show] features Valley natives Lucas Coatney, Lynzee Foreman, Jenny Hintze and Seth Tucker joined by Pat Fanning and Ashley Stults on the creative team! [title of show] follows two guys who decide to write a completely original musical starring themselves and their attractive and talented ladyfriends. Their musical, [title of show], gets into a musical theatre festival, and becomes a hit. Then it gets an off-Broadway production! Then (drumroll if you've got a drum) it's announced that their musical is going to Broadway (hooray!)! The New York Times called [title of show] "DELECTABLE ENTERTAINMENT! A postmodern homage to the grand tradition of backstage musicals like Kiss Me, Kate and A Chorus Line." A laugh out loud musical for both theatre nerds and regular nerds alike. Scottsdale Community Players!

We are delighted to announce that SCP — one of the Valley's oldest and most storied theatre companies — is back!  At the helm is Maureen Dias, Artistic Director for both Greasepaint Youtheatre and Scottsdale Community Players. SCP will present two productions this year, beginning with Fiddler on the Roof September, 2013 and following with Steel Magnolias in June of 2014.


Bare Bones Acting Company!

Here's something new and different for those teens who plan to pursue acting further—a chance to learn all aspects of production!  By audition and invitation only, a small group of teens will produce, design and direct two productions each year, a play in the Spring and a musical in the Summer.  It's the Bare Bones Acting Company, and our inaugural showcase runs the weekend of February 19th.  For more information, click here.
